Batise Springs RV Park
Pocatello, ID
As all our friends in Tennessee would say "it was a blessed day", we moved sites and nothing broke (yahoo). We left Idaho Falls and drove 58 miles south on I-15 to Batise Springs RV Park. This park is located on the outskirts of Pocatello and is 3 miles west of Chubbuck, ID. Chubbuck appears to have just recently sprung out of the dirt. It has many of the shops and restaurants you would expect in a big city and they all appear to be new. There is a huge FBI facility here so maybe they just received a big infusion of Federal funds (hey Adam, what's the FBI up to in Chubbuck?????).
This is a small Mom & Pop RV Park with about 15 pull through gravel sites. The layout is a little quirky and some of the sites appear to be difficult to pull in and out of with a big rig. Our site, #3, is one of the better sites with good access and a view out the patio side.
We will be hanging out here for 2 weeks seeing the sites around Pocatello (1 hr) and resting and relaxing (13 days, 23 hrs). We also realized that we are now traveling along I-15 which we will stay near all the way to California for the winter.
