Capital Reef National Park

We decided to say put in Beaver for 2 weeks and drive the CRV over to Capital Reef (144 miles) and spend the night. From Beaver we took I-15 north to I-70 east to SH 24. It was an easy drive that took about 2 hours.

Some of the rock formations have a name.... this one is Chimney Rock

This one is The Castle....

Here is a selfie at the Visitor Center with The Castle in the background....

This is Hickman Bridge. It's a natural bridge that I had to hike 1 1/2 miles in 90 degree heat to see.

Here is my "proof of life" selfie at Hickman Bridge....

We stayed the night at the Capital Reef Resort. We had a very nice room with a beautiful view.

Capital Reef is a beautiful park with  amazing and colorful rock formations. It is an easy park to visit as you drive the canyons and get out to take pictures at designated pull offs. If you're adventurous there are plenty of hiking trails. We took over 40 pictures and 3 or 4 videos. It was very difficult to decide which ones to post as they are all amazing. This was definitely a "must see" National Park.
