June 21, 2016
Eagle RV Park
Thermopolis, WY

After a week of site seeing, boating, 4 wheeling, and cookouts Julie and her family packed up and headed back to Denver. We stayed in Glendo another day and got the rig ready for the road. Today we headed north and west on I-25 to Casper and then took US 20 west to Shoshoni and then north to Thermopolis. Marilyn took a shot of the back of the RV as we were heading north from Shoshoni. The terrain changed from flatlands to rolling mountains and bluffs.

At Shoshoni there is a state park (Boysen State Park) and a large reservoir with 2 or 3 campgrounds. Originally we were going o spend the night there but I found out they don't have any electric so that wasn't going to work for us. We decided to go further down the road to Thermopolis. The total trip from Glendo to Thermopolis was 207 miles and it took us around 3 1/2 hrs. We stopped in Casper to top off the tank and empty bladders since there is nothing between Casper and Shoshoni.

Eagle RV Park is a very small (approx. 35 sites) family owned and operated park. They are very friendly and helpful but the sites are gravel and very tight. We had to inch the RV into our site to avoid a large tree and getting out tomorrow looks to be exciting ;>)

Since we are only staying the one night we left the RV hooked up to the truck and just did an eyeball leveling..... So far the trees are blocking our satellite dish from locking in so it will be a quiet night of reading. Tomorrow we head further north to Cody, WY where we'll stay for 9 days prepping for the 3 weeks in Yellowstone and 2 weeks in the Tetons.
