Glendo Lakeside RV Park
Glendo, WY

I can't believe our 6 weeks in Colorado are up. It's been a non-stop whirlwind of visiting sites and family. We headed 207 miles north on I-25 to the windy state of Wyoming. This time is a little different as Julie and her family have followed along with her boat. The plan is to do some boating at Glendo Lake then take 3 days to go visit Rushmore and then come back to Glendo for a final few days of boating. The RV park is very nice for this area. It is very well maintained with gravel sites and drives.

We even have a view of the lake from our site....

We have a nice view of the surrounding hills, pastures, and lake....

Julie's beautiful boat....

The RV Park from the main road......
The lake level is very high from mountain run off. In fact all swim beaches and most boat ramps are closed because they are under water. The Marina is the only officially open ramp so we will be boating from there starting tomorrow.

Lake Glendo

Today we brought the boat to the marina and launched it. It is a nice area with a long dock for parking your boat. We easily put in and hit the lake...

We had a great time on the very large lake but unfortunately we had a day of high temps (94 degrees) and high winds (20-25 mph) which created whitecaps. Even so, Devyn was able to do some wake boarding and we pulled him around on the raft for awhile.

Due to the wind we decided to rent a slip and dock the boat rather than trailering it. Tomorrow is supposed to be much nicer (80 degrees) and light winds..... tomorrow is also Marilyn's birthday so we are planning a day of boating followed by a cookout and really bad singing ;>)

On Monday we are driving to Mt Rushmore and will see it as well as Crazy Horse, retracing the trip Marilyn and Marlene took a few years ago.
