Zion National Park

Today we went to see Zion.

Unfortunately, being Labor Day weekend, so did everyone else ;>) it was a 45 minute drive from the RV Park. The main canyon at Zion can only be traveled via the free Park shuttles. We got to the Park at around 9am and the line was like Disney World on the 4th of July....

I kept looking to see where you could get a Fast Pass ;>)

It took about 45 min to an hour to get on a shuttle. We rode it to the end of the line (40 min) and decided to work our way back to the start at the Visitor Center (approx. 9 stops). The shuttles ran about every 10 min so once you got going they were very convenient to get around.

The river leading to The Narrows....

Checkerboard Mesa ..........

The Three Patriarchs .......

As with all these parks it was very difficult to decide which pictures to post. Zion is a beautiful park with stunning rock formations. Each area (shuttle stop) has at least one if not several trails making this park more attractive (and assessable) for the younger crowd. Many on the shuttles had backpacks for overnight trips.
