Cheyenne Mountain State Park
Colorado Springs, CO

After experiencing a lot of snow and cold temps over the past 4 days the sun came out and we were finally able to leave the KOA in Fountain and travel the 10 miles over to Cheyenne Mountain State Park.

This is a beautiful State Park that is either new or newly redone. As the name implies, the park sits at the foot of Cheyenne Mountain, home to NORAD. Our site has a great view of it.

We will be here for 2 weeks. We couldn't get one spot for both weeks so we will have to move to the pull thru a few feet away on Saturday. Here are a few site pictures.

Never expected to see anymore of that white stuff but the beauty of this setting helps make up for it....

Yesterday we all got together with Coach Woody, A.K.A. our grandson Steven, who is the Strength & Conditioning coach at Colorado College. Steven took us on a tour of the athletic facilities at CC and also World Arena where his hockey team plays.

The facilities are amazing.... If they had those types of facilities when I was in sports.....I still wouldn't have made it past high school....but I would have looked better doing it ;>)

Steven is very happy with the opportunity he has been given and we are so proud of him.
